For 2017 I had two main goals. I wanted to finish the Senders hat and I also wanted to adjust the long term vision for Sten.
The hat (of course) turned out to be much harder than I thought. Sewing one is hard but making a product that’s possible to produce is harder. All seams have to be optimised, there are surprisingly hard decisions ta make (e.g. velcro, button or some other closing system) and the blueprint has to be adjusted to fit other than myself. It has been a steep and roller coaster like learning process. I think I’m happy with how the hat turned out now and some more hats are on it’s way out for testing.
For the long term vision I wanted to make the brand even more local. Change the goals, from having some distant idea of making a living from it, to making good products and having fun while doing so. I also like to be more transparent about the brand and to work even harder on making it friendly to the environment (e.g. replace the last small bits of the non nature materials). I’m not there yet – the work will surely continue during 2018 and we’ll see in a year :)
Both brushes and buckets can be ordered now to get before christmas!
We – the ambassadors team and I – want to wish you a happy holidays and we really hope that 2018 will be your best climbing year ever!
We are truly proud to sponsor Gotland boulder session again! Hope to see you all there! Happy sending!
I’m truly glad to have Kristoffer Lindbäck as a Sten ambassador. Read his profile or contact him on Instagram.
Spring is here (in Gothenburg) so happy sending to all of you!
We are proud to be sponsor of Domen MegaBoulder III October 7th!
We are a proud sponsor of the Gotland Boulder Session again! The fine boulder weekend just outside of Visby at Östergarnsklipporna! It’s one of the few areas in Sweden where you climb on limestone. If you can just go there!
This is also the first event where to win a Sten brush drawn by Christoffer Stigberg!
The conditions looks awesome so please climb one extra for me! Happy sending!
We’ve been working together with local artist and climber Christoffer Stigberg to make 20 unique boulder brushes! We have 10 of them and he has 10. You will have the chance to get them at the special occasions below. Stay tuned for more info!

We are extremely proud to see Stella cruise through the obstacles in ninja warrior. And she does it with a smile on her face. And in pretty denim!
We’ll be showing our products at the Banff film festival in Gothenburg this year so come and talk to us tomorrow!
We’ve had the luxury problem of needing to restock too quickly :) And today it’s done! We have another batch of 32 bags for delivery!
We are working on opening the store for all EU countries. For now send us an e-mail if you are ordering from outside Sweden.
The inspiration picture (above) is from the beautiful Swedish west coast (archipelago) that also happens to be a boulder paradise. Imagine climbing slabs in the warm summer nights when the sun sets over the sea… I miss it as soon as I’m leaving. Luckily it’s not more than an hour away from central Gothenburg.
The bags are made from old jeans in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Contact for order details!
We are working with the talented craftsman Edvin Mellergård to produce the bags. He also makes rucksacks and jackets. Check out!
Thanks to Anders Söderberg and Mats Strandberg for donating their worn out favourite jeans and to Fredrik Seger for the climbing photo.
We are a really proud sponsor to Gotland Boulder Session this year! If you like to climb roofs this is definitely where to go May 1-3!
Believe it or not but this Sunday Fredrik found another Sten brush! Just below the boulder Sockerbiten in Utby. We asked all climbers passing bye but none recognised it. Anyone else missing a brush?
Are the Sten brushes that easy to loose? Should I add a string to them? If you’ve missed the finding of the first brush read it as well :)
Last weekend a lost Sten boulder brush was found on the Swedish west coast. On a small island called Hönö (chicken island in Swedish). It lay on the beach washed ashore with all the debris from this winter storms.
We have asked around to find it’s rightful owners but none are found. If you are missing your brush write a comment below and tell us where you think you’ve lost it.
We started to plot some potential climbing locations from where it can have traveled through the sea. Please help us share so it can find it’s way back to home!
Here is how it looks :)
2014, our first year, has come to an end. It has been a great experience and we’ve learned a lot. We are working (baby steps at all times :)) with both new products and improvements to existing. You will see sometimes soon. But first yoga, climbing, snorkeling and exploring in the beautiful Thailand!
Thanks a lot to all of you for helping us getting it working! And happy new year!
Happy sending! Sat nam!
